TAVITO Y BALIN“El Duo Del Caribe”  Octavio Gonzalez “Tavito” of Mayaguez and Carlos Figueroa “Balin” of Luquillo got together to form “El Duo Del Caribe”, TAVITO Y BALIN in Detroit, Michigan.  These 2 young Puerto Rican men are working very hard on their freshman album, Sin Competencia, which will feature many unique producers from all over the world.   Tavito “El Indio” got his start in music from listening to his father play the harmonica day after day.  His curiosity got the better of him and he asked his father to teach him how to play.  From then on he started to expand his ranges of music and started to listen to Reggae, R&B, Baladas and Vallenato music.   Balin “El Cariduro” has always been around music in some form or another.  Having a family that is very involved in Christian music has kept his love for music alive throughout the years.  Balin has influences ranging from Lil Wayne, Eminem, and 50 Cent to Wisin y Yandel and Arkangel.   Tavito y Balin got together when they were standing around one day and friends left them alone next to the stereo with a cd full of beats and within minutes had a song written that was definitely worthy of radio play.  They are currently in the top 3 on the charts on the Clear Channel website.  Tavito’s raspy singing voice and Balin’s explosive rapid-fire flow grab the attention of even the strongest critics. This unexpected duo’s charisma has continued to grow and captivate audiences worldwide.
